Amanda Palmer

In recent years, Amanda Palmer, known as the singer of The Dresden Dolls, has devoted herself to countless projects and fragments. Now the time has finally come for the first solo album of the polarising artist.

In March 2019, There Will Be No Intermission will be released and highlight, in particular, the downsides of existence in general and Amanda's personal crises in particular.

There Will Be No Intermission has been fully funded by some 12,000 supporters on the Patreon platform. But the fans of Amanda Palmer have contributed not only financially to this album. This is already demonstrated by today's first preview single Drowning In The Sound, which was created in August 2017: At that time, the artist asked her supporters to help her with the writing. Ideas and comments from this exchange flowed into the text of the piano ballad, in which Amanda Palmer explores hidden links between political unrest, climate change, the then raging hurricane Harvey, the solar eclipse, rampant internet hate and Taylor Swift.
