What the sea washes up is based on the story of the Little Mermaid from the fairy tale by H. Ch. Andersen. Why is it so hard to have an honest relationship today and why is commitment almost frightening for people?
In addition to acting, acrobatics, dance, music and visuals, the work also attempts to bridge meaning to contemporary events. It responds to how today's relationships have turned into a fast food culture, where although many virtual media promise constant connection, people are becoming disconnected from themselves and each other, far more than ever before.
