The Opava Wastewater Treatment Plant provides treatment of wastewater from Opava, but also from industrial and food processing companies in the surrounding areas. It can treat water from up to 149,000 equivalent inhabitants. The operation meets the requirements of EU and Czech legislation on the quality of treated water. Since its establishment, it has undergone a number of reconstructions, modernisations and capacity increases.
