Circus Ponorka
Circus Ponorka is a unique, one-man orchestra.
Ponorka is a one man show project of Honza Ponocny. The debut album "Do It Yourself" was created exactly in the spirit of its name. At the concert, in a moment, with the help of electronic machines and two microphones, he puts together the sound of the whole band, which includes drums, bass, several guitar parts and even a choir.
Honza Ponocný has contributed as a guitarist to more than forty CDs, produced several platinum albums for Universal and has worked with many top musicians such as Steve Walsh, Jean Couture, John Riley, Ivan Kral and many others. His songs have been recorded by Ewa Farna, Anna K., Lenka Dusilová and Aneta Langerová.
He currently performs with Meki Zbirka and Václav Koubek in addition to his solo project called Circus Ponorka. He wrote the music for the feature film by Alice Nellis Mamas and Papas.
