Chryste Panie
The Warsaw free jazz group Chryste Panie – consisting of drummer Wojtek Kurek, percussionist Michal Stawarz, saxophonist Michal Malota and synthesizer player Aleksander Żurowski – formed in 2015 after the musicians performed together at the iconic Warsaw improv night Impro Miting. Since then, Chryste Panie has released two albums exploring rushing, trance-inducing frontiers of jazz, hypercharging influences from Polish folk music with ritualistic performances.
