Charles Lloyd
Charles Lloyd is an American jazz saxophonist, composer and flutist. Lloyd was born on March 15, 1938 in Memphis, Tennessee. He first made a significant impact in the 1960s with the Charles Lloyd Quartet, which became one of the first jazz groups to achieve success with audiences outside the traditional jazz scene. Lloyd himself became known as a visionary and influential figure in world jazz. He is currently a member and a leader of the Charles Lloyd Sky Quartet.
