Chaosbay

Chaosbay is a German progressive metalcore band from Berlin that was formed in 2012. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Jan Listing, guitarist Michael “Mitch” Mertens, bassist Andreas Rippel, and drummer Sebastian Klein. Their music blends progressive metal, metalcore, djent, and electronic elements. Since the beginning of their career, the band has handled the production of most of their recordings themselves and has focused on conceptually interconnected albums and audiovisual works.

They released their debut album Vasilisa in 2015, followed by Asylum (2020), the concept album 2222 (2022), and the EP Boxes (2022). In 2024, they released the album Are You Afraid?, which includes the tracks Maniac in the Mirror, Don’t Kill Me, Money, Phantom Heart, and Eye for an Eye.

Her current work is represented by the singles Heathen and Enemy, released in 2025, followed in 2026 by the tracks AFTER THE SILENCE, LETTERS TO MY FUTURE SELF and How Does It Make You Feel?.
