Catastrofy
Catastrofy is a Slovak thrash metal band that formed in 2005 in Bratislava. The band consists of five members. Their first two albums, Zbojnícky tanec (2015) and Besnota (2018), used original Slovak outlaw themes, folk instruments, and lot of satire. They described their style as "outlaw thrash metal". In 2019, they won the prize at Radio Head Awards by national Radio Slovakia – for Album of the Year in the Hard & Heavy category for their album Besnota. In 2021, they released the album Taký je Život, which moved away from the outlaw theme and focused more on life related issues.
As a supporting act, Catastrofy has performed with bands such as Testament, Destruction, Tankard, S.D.I., and many others. They have also played at the biggest festivals in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, including Pohoda festival, Brutal Assault, Obscene Extreme, and many others.
