Castilho
Castilho is the pseudonym of Pedro Castilho, a keyboardist and singer who plays in the psychedelic band Savanna. He began his solo career in 2017, releasing his first single Come Back. The delicate and melancholic synth-pop number gained an audience in the artist's home country of Portugal, while subsequent singles Moving Fast, Moving Slow and Lucky Ones also caught the attention of music curators abroad. His fourth single, The Wind Blows won the prestigious Novos Fnac award, which paved the way for a live performance at the famous Coliseu dos Recreios. Castilho's debut album, entitled Today We'll Be the Lucky Ones, was released in the US on the Pitch & Prose label and in Portugal on Pontiaq. The disc consists of nine synth-pop gems, built from rich synth and guitar textures, heartfelt vocals, a touch of sophisticated psychodelium and a positive energy inherent in Pedro's own character.
