The band Carrantuohill, which has been playing music based on Celtic tradition since 1987, has performed nearly 3500 concerts in Poland and abroad; it has released more than 20 albums, in the production of which it has cooperated with many recognised artists, including: Anna Maria Jopek, Anna Dymna, Stanisław Sojka, Anita Lipnicka, Kuba Badach, Robert Kasprzycki, Urszula Dudziak, Krzysztof Ścierański, Marek Raduli, Tomasz Szukalski, Wojciech Karolak or Maciej Balkar. Their album Inis achieved the status of a Gold Record, while their album Session, Natural Irish & Jazz won a musical Platinum and was also awarded a Fryderyk in the ethno-folk category.
Carrantuohill have toured Ireland many times performing at Ireland's biggest festivals and gaining such valuable skills playing 'at the source'. Carrantuohill's greatest successes include performing at Claremont McKenna College in California at the personal invitation of the poet Czesław Miłosz, as well as taking part in the world's biggest festival in the genre of Celtic music - the Guinness Irish Festival in Switzerland. Carrantuohill's forte is that the band performs well both in the atmosphere of traditional Irish pubs and in the largest concert halls.The band's musicians use traditional Celtic instruments: tin whistle, bouzuki, fiddle, bodhran, uilleann pipes, and they know almost everything about Celtic music.
