Bran
Bran was founded in 1999 by a meeting of Breton and Czech musicians. In Breton Bran means raven, a messenger from Celtic legends. The one who brought Celtic music to Central Europe on his wings. And on the Atlantic coast, the east wind. The different musical instruments, together with the different musical influences and origins of each member, create a special colourfulness that makes Bran original. Bran focuses mainly on traditional dance music and songs of the sea. The group offers a wide repertoire that draws on the compositions of individual musicians as well as traditional melodies.
Members of the band are Robert Fischmann (vocals, flute, keyboards, whistles), Vojtech Jindra (acoustic guitar), Tomas Görtler (accordion, vocals), Petr Mikes (bass guitar) and Vít'a Patočka (drums).
