The next in the series of Thursday’s events in Boto – in a modified formula for the time being – will not be a jam, it will not be a concert, but it will be a meeting of two musicians who want to discuss with each other.
Irek Wojtczak is a saxophonist, improviser, arranger, unpredictable creator, eluding obvious definitions of music. He has made an excellent contribution to the Polish music scene, where as a leader, sideman or soloist he has recorded over forty albums. He has been appreciated by the leading American critics of All About Jazz and The New York City Jazz Record.
Adam Żuchowski is a contrabass player, composer and arranger. He graduated from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. He co-founded the Blue Mind Quartet with Dominik Bukowski, with whom he won the Aniołek Jazzowy during Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa in 2002. He cooperates with Wojtczak and Mikołaj Trzaska. He composed music for many theater performances, since 2002, he has worked with Agnieszka Osiecka Atelier Theatre in Sopot.
