Boccaccio Ballroom is an ornate Baroque styled ballroom situated inside the 5* Grand Hotel Bohemia in the heart of Prague Old Town. Originally built and designed in 1927 by Joseph Steiner, it quickly became the meeting place of choice for the cream of Prague’s high society such as the Masaryk family, including Tomas G. Masaryk, the first president of Czechoslovakia, all of whom regularly reserved the large balcony box over the stage area still commonly referred as the “Masaryk's Balcony”. Lovingly restored to its original glory, including the magnificent central chandelier with over 4000 hand-made pieces and sumptuous balcony boxes, Boccaccio Ballroom today is one of the most beautiful and enchanting concert rooms in Prague.
