Błoto
Błoto is a band that was born by chance, like a puddle after the rain. In the summer of 2018, on the tour of the Wroclaw-based septet EABS between Brzeg Dolny, Łódź and Sopot, a day off fell between concerts. On the way to the Tricity, the lineup became increasingly depleted. Marek Pędziwiatr (keyboards / synthesizers), Pawel Stachowiak (bass), Marcin Rak (drums), Olaf Węgier (tenor saxophone) and Maciek Jakimiuk (sound engineer) stayed in the car. The music is firmly rooted in brutal hip-hop grooves, referring very loosely to the sound of the 1990s. It is dirty and uncompromising music, whose strength lies in the drums and bass. In a way, it is also radical. It reflects the climate of the times in which it was created. Times of clear social divisions, hate speech, growing nationalism, police brutality, nepotism, political deals and dismantling of the structures of the rule of law.
