Black Country, New Road

The representatives of the growing, young British scene will play in Warsaw's Hydrozagadka.

For many bands two songs are not much. It is a starting point or outline of what is to come. Nevertheless, Black Country, New Road has already become notorious with their first two singles – Athens, France and Sunglasses from 2019. They have been recognized by The Quietus as "the best band in the world", enthusiastically reviewed in important titles – from The New York Times to The Guardian, appeared on the cover of Loud & Quiet, played a live session for BBC 6 Music, sold out the tour in the UK, including three concerts in London alone, found themselves in the Echoes series, produced by ARTE, squeezed in between Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth) and Ed O'Brien (Radiohead) and signed a contract with Ninja Tune. And they achieved all this in just one year. Musicians playing together in different configurations over the years as Black Country, New Road, quickly discovered that their core is a deep-rooted sense of harmony and unity. Some members go back to being classmates, some shared apartments while others studied together at university. The years spent together have created a cohesive spirit and a deep bond that is reflected in the collective creativity.
