Bernadette La Hengst is a musician and theatre maker with a penchant for socio-political issues and utopian ideas. Her concerts are everything but self-loathing discourse pop with factor of "being concerned", keyboard sounds and cheap samples. Her beats are powerful, her charm disarming, her voice is wonderfully powerful and passionate. Clearly in the foreground are her lyrics, which are often accentuated with angry guitars or rocking solos. Bernadette said in an interview: "The world is so big and the everyday shit that surrounds us is so small that we need to exhale from time to time."
