Berliner Kindheiten

The book Berliner Kindheiten by Johannes Zillhardt contains a collection of interviews with people of different ages and backgrounds who grew up in Berlin and will be presented at Ballhaus Wedding on September 08, 2022.

Five contemporary witnesses talk about childhood, everyday life and world history. These stories show how unusual life can be in ordinary life, how historical caesurae are reflected and how differently they are seen and mastered.

The stories are musically accompanied by the chamber orchestra under the direction of the conductor Lars Straehler-Pohl and plays afterwards to the dance. Visitors can expect a colorful Berlin revue of contemporary witnesses from the 1920s to the present day.
