Ben Ufo
Ben Thomson aka Ben Ufo founded Hessle Audio in 2007 along with Pearson Sound and Pangea. He is one of the few DJs from the UK who became known in the world of experimental electronica just by djing, without ever entering the world of production.
Thomson grew up amidst London's garage, jungle and drum and bass scenes, and saw the rise of dubstep right on his doorstep. These influences are reflected in Hessle's catalog, with each release also reflecting the outsider in Thomson. The Hessle sound is thus a distinctive genre all its own.
