About Ben Howard
Benjamin John “Ben” Howard is an English singer-songwriter, musician, and composer. He self-released his debut EP Games in the Dark (2008) followed by two more EPs, These Waters (2009) and Old Pine (2010). His major debut studio album came in 2011 and was called Every Kingdom. The album was nominated for Mercury Prize and has enjoyed great popularity, debuting at number 4 on the UK Albums Chart. At the 2013 Brit Awards ceremony, he received two awards: British Male Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act. His second studio album, I Forget Where We Were from 2014, debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, cementing his reputation as one of the most sought-after British songwriters. His latest release, Collections from the Whiteout from 2021, saw the artist delve deeper into more electronic music influences, while still sticking to his indie folk core. The album was produced by The National and Big Red Machine member Aaron Dessner, recorded over an 18-month period. As of 2017, Ben Howard is a member of the band A Blaze of Feather with India Bourne, Mickey Smith, Nat Wason, Rich Thomas and Kyle Keegan.
