Basilica of Saint Emeram

The Basilica of St. Emeram is a cathedral in Nitra, located in the building of Nitra Castle. The cathedral is a sacred place - a shrine, the central temple of the diocese. It is the seat of the bishop, the center of the spiritual life and the ecclesiastical administration of the whole diocese. It symbolizes the teaching office of a bishop.
