The cultural project Bahnwärter Thiel is a place that connects art and culture. A curious conglomeration of Munich tram- and subway cars, artistically painted shipping containers and a crane, equipped with floating gondolas and sprightly carriages, offers an exciting backdrop for interpersonal encounters. While the community garden is cultivated by families and groups of friends and new ideas arise between lively graffiti, artists of all kinds are realizing themselves in their studios, rehearsal rooms, open workspaces and workshops. In a subway car with a surrounding sun terrace there is a bistro offering lunch and dinner. The tram next door is a meeting point for young people that offers space for workshops and experiments. Immediately next to it is the Kulturhaus, which reflects the diversity and creativity of the Munich cultural scene in the form of a colorful program. With proven formats such as concerts, club nights, flea markets, cinema evenings, readings, travel reports, dance courses and theater evenings.
