Bach vs. Händel: Händel koncertowo

*The last of three concerts in the series "Bach vs. Handel, a meeting that didn't happen."

The concept of the concerts is based on the work of two baroque giants - Johann Sebastian Bach and Georg Friedrich Handel. The creative paths of the two composers, both of equal age (both born in 1685), went in slightly different directions, and they never met personally. Nevertheless, they knew about each other and followed each other' work, inspiring one another constantly. With time, a legend has developed around both artists, telling about their hypothetical meeting. Paul Barz's play Mögliche Begegnung refers to it.

The aim of the three-part series of concerts is to show the work of Bach and Handel at separate concerts (the first concert with Bach repertoire and the third concert – Händel), presenting their concert, cantata and oratorio work. The middle, second concert is a chamber "meeting" of both composers, where chamber and solo works will be presented. The concerts will be performed by renowned soloists and ensembles of early musicians playing old instruments.
