Auspex
Auspex got his first taste for the exploration of sounds at an early age. He had been a classically trained violinist and multi-instrumentalist since the age of 11, and it was during those formative years that he began to translate his experience of the world by shaping and bending sound.
During his teen years, Auspex found himself delving into new musical territories, exploring punk rock, goth, experimental and electronic hybrids, fusing the organic with the technological and setting him down a path that would eventually lead him to his passion: techno.
Now a regular fixture of Brooklyn’s underground techno scene, Auspex is known for creating energetic and raucous dance floors and driving them to bedlam, blending skittering techno and blistering industrial, with anthemic rave and glitchy breaks to create dense and textured overtures. His uncompromising and unwavering style has seen him tapped to play as support for countless international touring acts from Phase Fatale to Randomer, Kamikaze Space Programme to Headless Horseman.
Most recently, Auspex has launched his own party series and residency, Dominion, an exploration of dark, driving techno at the intersection of technology and the arcane, which has already been host to some standout names from the NYC local techno scene, as well as some bigger names making noise around the globe.
