Atomic Fruit

  • Berlin-based Atomic Fruit combines dreamy psychedelic rock with electronic beats and immersive soundscapes. The international line-up with members from Sweden, France and Italy was formed in 2021 after a chance meeting at a SUUNS concert and quickly became a fixture of the Berlin underground with its energetic live shows.*

Their debut album “Play Dough” (2023), recorded at Hansa Studios, introduced the world to their eclectic mix of synths, guitars, trumpet, samples and electro-acoustic percussion work. The tracks have made their way into playlists on Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal, and have been played on Berlin radio waves.

  • Atomic Fruit's music oscillates between genres, but still retains its own face. The sophisticated melodies and sonic details will appeal to fans of alt-J or Radiohead, yet their approach is so distinctive that it defies easy classification.* - Loudness Blog

In 2024 they released their second album Sketches of the Moon, which represents a more organic and introspective position of the band. Mixed by Riley Macintyre, the record draws inspiration from desert blues, noise and Lynchian film atmospherics. It combines overdubbed vocals, reverberating baritone guitars and experiments with samples and electroacoustic effects - including the metallic sound of a tarte flambée paddle. The result is an intimate sound world that translates the band's international identity into a panoramic statement.

The lyrics are honest and unsettling - for example, in songs like Once and Tongue Tied, which evoke subliminal unrest. The album, released in February 2025, oscillates between melancholy and transcendence, delivering moody scenes ranging from casual desert blues to the nostalgia of analogue tapes and the raw aesthetic of modern romance. After its launch at Berlin's Badehaus, the album saw over 80,000 plays on streaming platforms in its first month. The band performed live on RadioEins and went on tour in Germany and France.
