Šidski trubači
Originating from Serbian province Vojvodina, the wind orchestra “Šidski Trubači” was founded exactly two decades ago, in 1998. In reality, its origins date back even further, to 1975, when its members were part of urban wind orchestra Lira. Šidski Trubači’s founder is professor Mustafa Duraković – a longtime director of the music school in Šid, who specializes in wind instruments. Mustafa was driven by one desire – to renew interest in trumpets in the region most famous for tambura instrument. Not only did his wish come true, but their success was way bigger than they had hoped for.
