About Sarah Tandy Trio
Growing up in a musical family, Sarah Tandy has had contact with music from an early age. She started learning classical piano at the conservatory. She was a finalist at BBC Young Musician of the Year. However, the language of classical music seemed insufficient. Studying English literature at the University of Cambridge, she found a way to express her emotions and soothe jazz, and time spent outside of London allowed her to get to know her better as an artist. For hours, listening to Coltrane, Mccoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Oscar Peterson, Errol Garner, Robert Glasper, Brad Mehldau, she worked on how to get into this new, exciting form of music. She quickly became one of the most expressive artists of her generation, playing keyboards for such projects and artists as Jazz Jamaica, Nu Civilization Orchestra, Maisha, Mr Jukes, Yazmin Lacey, Camilla George, Nuby Garcia, Nerija, Daniel Casimir, Binker Golding, Clark. Tracey and many more. He is also a member of Ronnie Scotts House Band, W3 Collective.
