About Magdalena Turek
Magdalena Turek (born 1998) started learning to play the violin at the age of 6 at the I. J. Paderewski Primary Music School in Krakow as a student of Irena Wójtowicz, MA. Since 2011 she has been studying under Katarzyna Balas, MA, at the W. Żeleński Secondary School of Music in Kraków, and since 2017 she is a student of the I. J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań in the class of Prof. Marcin Baranowski.
She performed solo with the youth orchestra Fresco Sonare under the baton of Monika Bachowska. She participated in master classes conducted by professors Marcin Baranowski, Kaja Danczowska, Arkadiusz Kubica, Wiesław Kwaśny, Paweł Radziński, Benjamin Schmid, Jan Stanienda, Piotr Tarcholik and Edward Zienkowski. Co-founding the Cracow Youth Chamber Orchestra, she has given concerts in Ukraine, Israel, the USA, Norway, Iceland, Russia and France. She was a laureate of scholarship programs of the Sapere Auso Foundation and Lions Club Old Town, and currently she is an honorary scholarship holder of the Pro Musica Bona Foundation.
