Kat Frankie
Kat Frankie is an Australian born singer/songwriter and guitarist who has been living in Berlin since 2004. She started writing songs at an early age, while still living in the suburbs of Sydney. The folk record collection of her mother has particularly influenced her musical style. Under the influence of Simon & Garfunkel, Bread and Carly Simon, Frankie developed her preference for folk melodies and pop ballads, and taught herself to play the guitar.
Attracted by the flourishing artistic community of Berlin, she decided to turn her year abroad into a long-term stay in the German capital. In 2007 her debut album Pocketknife was released. Meanwhile, she has produced four studio albums and is an integral part of the Berlin music scene as an established artist.
