Kari Ikonen

Significant lobster musician who is well known for his trio formation on the one hand, cooperation with international sextet Karriko, but also compositional writing for the UMO Jazz Orchestra. In the past, worked with big stars of European and American origin (Ingrid Jensen, Bob Moses, Magnus Broo, Vincent Courtois, Ron McClure and others). His compositions have won several awards at prestigious competitions such as the composition "Julius Hemphill Composition Awards" (USA), and the Italian "Scriver in Jazz". The trio also consists of an Armenian double bass virtuoso Ara Yaralyan a Finnish drummer Markku Ounaskari.
