Jinjer was founded in Donetsk in 2009 on the initiative of guitarist Dmitry Oksen. Music was both a passion and a means of detachment from the depressing reality marked by the war in Ukraine. In the current incarnation of the band, Dmitriya is gone, there are excellent frontwoman Tatiana Shmailyuk, the guitar plays Roman Ibramkhalilov, the bass is played by Eugene Abdiukhanov, and the drum set by Vlad Ulasevich. The latter is in Jinjer from 2016. Jinjer, though he is sticking with the stubbornness of a maniac to a metalcore drawer, he feels best with a great sense, mixing elements of various genres (djent, jazz, funk, reggae, progmetal).
