Irreversible Entanglements

Chicago’s free jazz collective Irreversible Entanglements first met at an event protesting police brutality, and their shared collective prompted them to form a group. Saxophonist Keir Neuringer, poet Camae Ayewa, bassist Luke Stewart, trumpeter Aquiles Navarro, and drummer Tcheser Holmes set their rhythms to socially conscious poetry aimed at peeling back the layers of black existence. Their explosive self-titled debut album was released in 2017.
