Enchanted Hunters
Enchanted Hunters are songwriters Małgorzata Penkalla and Magdalena Gajdzica, hailing from Gdańsk, Poland. Their music infuses pop songs with a penchant for extravagant polyphony, sophisticated vocal harmonies, and off-kilter song structure, influenced by the intricate arangements of 1980s sophisti-pop and contemporary chamber folk. In 2012, they made their debut with the album Peoria, released by the iconic Polish indie Antena Krzyku; since then, they have become one of the main export products of the Polish independent scene, whether for big stages in the country (such as OFF or Open'er) or abroad (they were one of the few bands recorded at the Polish KEXP sessions in 2015). Their discography has expanded since their debut with the EP Little Crushes (2014) and the sophomore The Twelfth House (2019), leaning into their synthpop side.
