About Cyrille Oswald
Cyrille Oswald began his professional career in 1994 during a stay in the Caribbean. After returning to the Netherlands put together a group of Latin American and studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where he graduated 2001. In that year he founded the quartet Amalgam, recorded an album and featured the original songs. 2004, he recorded another album of originals along with Danish guitarist Mikkel Ploug. 2007, a trio and quartet further along with Stefan Lievestro (acoustic bass), Jeroen van Vliet (piano) and Eric Koogerem (drums). Together they recorded the CD "Nerve ˮ, which was well received by the public and the press (5 stars in jazz magazine). Since 2007, Cyrille Oswald divided his time between Holland and Czech. In the Netherlands, a member of the Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra and Cubop City Big Band and is a freelance writer with many projects and bands. In the Czech Republic plays in a quartet with David Dorůžka (guitar), Tomas Liska (bass) and Dano Soltis (drums).
