Art Space NOV
The Art Space NOV gallery is a space for contemporary art - paintings, sculptures, installations, performances, video art and multimedia projects. Exhibitions at NOV have a two-month cycle and the gallery prefers young and emerging artists, but one project a year is always dedicated to an artist one or two generations older. In addition, the gallery also organizes accompanying programs, thematic symposiums and publishing.
Art Space NOV was founded in 2014 by Štěpán Bartoš and Jana Orlová, who worked there as a curator until the end of the year 2023. From the beginning, the space of the reconstructed Gothic cellar in the centre of Pardubice was used for exhibitions. Since then, the concept has not changed – it is a non-commercial project run by the NOV association with the ambition to complement the local cultural scene with the idea of a small independent gallery.
