Arnheiður Eiríksdóttir
Arnheiður Eiríksdóttir is Islandic mezzo-soprano. She appeared on stage while still a student in Reykjavik. In the summer of 2014, she performed the role of Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro at the Schönbrunn Schlosstheater. In 2015, she sang the baritone part of Count Gil in E. Wolf-Ferrari’s Il segreto di Susanna within the Lange Nacht der Musiktheaterregie project in Vienna. Since the 2018/19 season, she has been a member of the international opera studio at the Oper Köln, where in the current season she has performed Death in Stravinsky’s The Nightingale, Mercédès in Bizet’s Carmen, the Third Lady in the production Die Zauberflöte für Kinder, Modestina in Rossini’s Il viaggio a Reims, Carlotta in Salieri’s La scuola de’gelosi, and other roles. She made her Prague debut at a concert held by Nachtigall Artists on 21 May 2018 at the New Town Hall.
