Dvořák’s oratorio Stabat mater is among the most famous and musically powerful works of its kind. The composition, setting the text about the suffering of Christ’s mother, is mainly performed at Easter and this tradition is kept by the FOK Orchestra at Smetana Hall in the Municipal House. The Orchestra’s Finnish chief conductor, Pietari Inkinen, will lead the excellent Czech and Slovak soloists, orchestra and chorus.
