About Amparanoia

Amparanoia is a Spanish band from the Mestizo scene, founded in 1996 by Amparo Sánchez and having its origins in Granada. In her music she combines the influences of different cultures and styles such as traditional folklore, dub, reggae, ska, rumba, bolero, jazz, cumbia and more. The texts are mostly in Spanish, but also French and English, and often address political and socio-critical issues.
