About Alina Pogostkina
Alina Pogostkina is a Russian-born German violinist. She is one of the so-called “new violinists” so called by Andreas Morell in the German TV network 3sat, which means: internationally acclaimed female soloists who quickly became shooting stars. Alina Pogostkina performs regularly at renowned music festivals. As a soloist she has performed with the Russian National Orchestra, the Orchester National de Belgique, the China National Symphony Orchestra, the Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest, the Mozarteum-Orchestra Salzburg, the MDR Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Symphony Orchestra, and the Komische Oper Berlin, the Kremerata Baltica, the Budapest Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Scottish National Orchestra, the Hallé Orchestra and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. She also worked with conductors such as Mikhail Pletnjow, Gennady Roshdestvensky, Sir Roger Norrington, Gilbert Varga, Marek Janowski, Christoph Eschenbach, Hartmut Haenchen and Mikko Franck.
