Twelve-year-old Ariana (Magdalena Müller) has been plagued by misfortune since childhood. Alone in the world with an extraordinary gift for magic, she ends up in an orphanage, where she has to endure much abuse from the other children and bullying from the teachers. Yet all the little girl wants is to find a home and discover who her parents were. Her life is suddenly turned upside down when she is sought out by the old alchemist Archivald (Roman Zach). He offers her the opportunity to enter the school of alchemists, where she finds not only her dream home, but also inseparable friends. However, in order to become a legitimate student, she must pass the entrance exams. Young alchemists Lora (Sára Korbelová) and Mertur (Cyril Dobrý) prepare her for these exams. At school, she will not only gain new knowledge and friendships, but also discover ancient secrets. And when the witch Murien (Simona Hába Zmrzlá) appears, Ariana must risk everything to learn the truth about her past.
