Akkamiau
Audiovisual artist, art director and event manager resident in Berlin. Akkamiau plays live on semi-modular synths, from experimental jam sessions to techno sets, releasing on Detroit Underground label. In 2019 produced and directed AV performance Interjections (Liminal Act) based on her EP Interjections, in 2022 obtained funding and produced an international collaboration between Czech and German, a grounding ritual Voltage2.0, and consequently released the soundtrack for the movement performance as album Xiao in 2024.
Akkamiau DJs with focus on the emotional power of sound frequencies, presenting a delicate mixture music, from ambient through experimental to techno and rave. In the past decade she has been an active coordinator and booker of the female:pressure network, holding regular f:p Berlin parties and events (2013–2023). She runs Impromptu Impulses, a radio show focused on improvisation, broadcasting each month on 88.4FM Berlin.
