Alternative/Indie, Pop | AJR is a New York-based indie pop band made up of brothers Adam, Jack and Ryan. Their musical style is described as indie pop and combines elements of pop, electronica and dubstep. They started their career as street musicians, playing songs by bands such as Fun, Vampire Weekend and Beach Boys. One of their performance was spotted by singer Sia, whose manager put the band in touch with former Columbia CEO Steve Greenberg. Greenberg became AJR's manager, and in 2013 the trio released their debut single, I'm Ready. Since then, AJR has released four studio albums; the most recent was OK Orchestra (2022) with the song World's Smallest Violin, which went viral on TikTok.
