Aid Kid

Behind the pseudonym Aid Kid is musician, producer and DJ Ondra Mikula. After the release of his first two singles, he became a rising star of the Prague electronic music scene. His live sets are based on improvising his own tracks, combining emotive beats and graduating structures. In April 2015, Aid Kid released his self-directed eponymous debut album to positive critical acclaim (including a Vinyl Award for Discovery of the Year). In 2019, he released his second album Cinematographer’s Journal. The album is released on the Bigg Boss label and is also the soundtrack to the film Jaroslav Kučera – Deník directed by Jakub Felcman. The work of the cinematographer Kučera served as a creative inspiration – the fourteen tracks alternate between ambient surfaces and minimalist arrangements for piano, winds, strings and analogue synthesizers.

He currently is as a guitarist in the band Děti mezi reprákama and is part of the creative core of the band Zvíře jménem Podzim. He is also involved in stage music (Strašnické Divadlo X10, Studio Hrdinů, Horácké Divadlo). As a composer, he has collaborated on many music videos, jingles, installations and video mapping.
