"The loudest band in New York" will be the loudest band in Warsaw's VooDoo Club for one night.

A Place to Bury Strangers is a band from New York, known for their loud and heavy, noise rock-influenced approach to shoegaze and psych rock. The band's current line-up consists of sole permanent member Oliver Ackermann with bassist John Fedowitz and drummer Sandra Fedowitz. They made their eponymous debut album in 2007, which was warmly received by the music press; with a favourable Pitchfork review significantly raising their profile, they played support slots for Nine Inch Nails and MGMT and festivals including Coachella and Rock al Parque. They have since released a further seven albums, the latest of which, See Through You, was released in 2022.
