About A.A. Williams
A.A. Williams is an Englishwoman who admits that she loves what is loud and dark in music. She has already made herself known to the Polish audience as a support act for The Sisters Of Mercy and Cult Of Luna. A.A. Williams is compared to Chelsea Wolfe, Emma Ruth Rundle, Louise Lemon, yet she already has her own distinctive style. She came out in 2018. What followed was a contract with Holy Roar Records, an appearance at the prestigious Roadburn Festival and a namesake debut EP (2019) that cemented the reputation of A.A. Williams as one of the most interesting independent artists. The British artist moves in a melancholic darkness with shades of folk, ambient, classical music and alternative metal and post metal from the likes of Amenra or the aforementioned Cult Of Luna. COL musicians Johannes Persson and Fredrik Kihlberg are guests on the full-length debut A.A. Williams Forever Blue (2020). The pandemic time artist with the mesmerizing low voice made herself and her fans happy with a set of covers Songs from Isolation, covering Nick Cave, Pixies, Deftones and Radiohead, among others.
