1000mods + The Well + IAH

A joint concert by three stoner bands from two continents - legendary Greek 1000mods, Austin, Texas-based The Well and Argentina's IAH.

1000mods is a band from Chiliomodi, Greece who became famous for their unique, heavy, psychedelic stoner. The band, who got their start in smoky basements, have now become one of the most celebrated Greek rock bands as children of the now legendary underground heavy rock scene of the mid 00s. But after a recent visit to Seattle, the Greeks have redefined their sound under the guidance of Matt Bayles (known for his work with Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Deftones, among others), and their latest album is steeped in a grunge sound. This concert will be different from previous ones in PL.

The Well is an Austin, Texas-based stoner doom band comprised of Ian Graham, Lisa Alley and Jason Sullivan. Austin-based power trio The Well redefine heavy rock by merging massive riffs with sophisticated melodies. Their progressive sound stems from a nostalgic desire to blend different musical styles as diversified as Joy Division to Blue Cheer. As fans of cult horror films, they embrace the sinister, revel in dark themes and find inspiration in haunting echoes. The dual vocals of Graham and Alley evoke an ancient language that carries a mystic spell.

The last band you will hear this evening is the Argentinian trio from Cordoba, IAH, who have been delivering mesmerising riffs bordering on post rock, psychedelia with clear stoner and doom metal influences since 2016.
