Über Zespół Wokalny Gęba
The Gęba Vocal Band is a child of the "Gębofon" Vocal Meeting devoted to extended vocal techniques. The group debuted in 2009 on the "New Music Peninsula" in Wigry, premiered Five Songs by Arturas Bumšteinas. In the same year, Zbigniew Karkowski composed for Gęba a monumental song Encumbrance for nine vocalists and electronics. Gęba finds himself in many styles - from pop music to contemporary compositional work. Vocalists of various education and experience sing in the band, from traditional singing, through classical singing and beatbox, to other extended techniques. The composition of the group changes depending on the needs, but it is always co-created by the individuality of Warsaw (and not only) singing.
