Zdechły Osa
Alternative/Indie, Hip-Hop | Hailing from Wrocław's Osiedle Kosmonautów estate, Zdechły Osa initially made a name for himself with his nihilistic ouvre in underground emo rap circles, recording tracks with Polish SoundCloud classics like MFC and Dianka. After a few years of a certain level of underground recognition, in 2021 he signed with Warner Music Poland and released the album Sprzedałem dupe (translating to Sold My Ass Out), introducing the aesthetics of 20th century Polish punk to his arsenal and catching the attention of mainstream critics, who in shocked reviews compared him to Rimbaud and Wojaczek. Since then, Osa has been an important part of the slightly-left-of-center alt-rap canon in Poland—recording with artists ranging from Brodka to 1988 to Kukon—and with two Fryderyk nominations or appearances at Męskie Granie. In 2023, he released his sophomore LP Breslau Hardcore; in addition to his solo activities, he also contributes to the Thirdeye crew and label.
