Andrej Kabal aka Žakhéles is a DJ, music producer and critic based in Bratislava.
He works as a music editor in the Slovak cultural and social monthly Kapitál. He also runs the cassette label Evocative Objects, is a co-founder of project Batyskaf, a multi-genre cultural platform that supports the emergence of young and independent art, and organizes a number of music events at the Bratislava club Fuga.
Žakhéles is more real than reality, which this strange character distorts every time he takes the stage. The fictional character created by Andrej Kabal emerges from time to time, only to sink again into the black mud of this rotten society, whose vices he describes in his satirical texts. After years of supporting the KVLT crew members behind the mix, he decided to try it solo, and spread his message of a healthy lifestyle to the masses. Was it a good idea?
