VooDoo
VooDoo is a Polish band performing heavy metal music. It was officially formed in February 1984 in Krakow on the initiative of Andrzej Knapp and musicians Adam Śliwa from the group Misterium Dnia Ostatni and Ryszard Krupa from the group Keys. In 1986 the group performed at the first edition of the Metalmania festival in Katowice. The distinction that the musicians received at that time allowed them to make their debut album Heavy Metal VooDoo recorded in the Polish Radio Studio in Poznań in 1986 and published by Pronit in 1987. They took part in festivals: Metalmania, Jarocin, Metal Meeting Rybnik, Metal Meeting Kraków, International Top Music Festival. The final of TVP Dwójki hits (Wrocław-Hala Ludowa). VooDoo songs successfully competed with western groups on the Top Metal 20 list. The group was dissolved in 1990 and reactivated in 2008 with a basic line-up.
