Ugly
The six-piece band Ugly, formed at school in Cambridge, is now based in London. Musically, they went with the rising wave of indie and art rock bands such as Black Country, New Road, Lime Garden, and Black Midi, to which they are often compared. Unlike the aforementioned, their music is heavily influenced by folk-tinged arrangements and outright dramatic vocal harmonies. Their musical influences include both choral music and the music of the 60s and 70s.
